Making a hat for Ambrielle

I tried my hand at crafting to make a birthday gift for my good friend, Ambrielle. She has this great purse and incredible metallic dress to go with it, and I wanted her to have a matching hat to complete the set.

I couldn’t find the one I wanted online, so I decided to try to make one!

I started with a plain black hat and a knockoff of her purse.

I didn’t exactly make a plan… I just started cutting

I ended up folding a few of the triangles back on themselves to create the shape I wanted for the main section of the hat, and then superglued them together to hold it all in place.

If I was going to do it again I would cut out the triangles underneath so I never had any thick double layers. All in all though, I thought it came out ok.

And she looks great in it!
